PRACTICE INFORMATION - updates and changes to services    In order to provide flu vaccination programme information on our home page you will now find the updates and changes to practice services in the clinics and services section of our website. 

Update 24 Sept 2020    -  staffing and telephone issues  

Due to unforseen staffing problems we are limiting calls to urgent only.  We apologise for this and hope to return to normal circumstances as soon as possible.   

Unfortunately we are also experiencing ongoing intermittent faults with our telephone system.  We are in contact with our supplier to try to resolve these as quickly as possible.    

We realise how frustrating this will be if you are trying to contact us and appreciate your understanding and co-operation.   Thank you.

PRESCRIPTIONS/MEDICATION REQUESTS

As a large Practice with around 11,100 patients we deal with around 12,000 prescription item requests per month. We wish to ensure that we are offering the best, safest and most efficient service possible.

There are a number of ways you can order your prescription and these are detailed below.

Methods of ordering prescriptions

Patient Online Service:  Please see the Clinics and Services section for further information.  Our service links directly to your patient record and is updated in real time meaning the information is fully accurate. 

In addition, this service allows you to view and cancel booked appointments.

Via this website:   www.ladywelleast.co.uk A simple registration process requires to be undertaken in order to use this service. The messages are checked at noon and 5.00pm each day and processing follows the same guidelines as requests put into the prescription request box.

At the Practice: Prescription Request Slips are available at the reception desk to be filled in by the patient and should be put in the prescription request box. Please note that Receptionists will not fill in request slips, this must be done by the patient or patient representative. This helps to reduce the waiting time at the reception desk and ensure that your request is accurate.

You can also hand in your request slip found on the right hand side of your prescription.

Pharmacy:  Your local Pharmacy offers an ordering/collection/delivery service.  Please contact them directly to arrange this.  The Practice involvement is to produce the prescription and provide it to the Pharmacy on request.

Please be aware that if you order via your pharmacy or ask them to collect your prescription you should allow extra time for the process as a third party is involved. The time taken to process your prescription only starts when the prescription request is received at the Practice.  

 

NO PHONE REQUESTS FOR MEDICATION WILL BE TAKEN BY RECEPTION STAFF AT ANY TIME.
