If you required medical care outwith the normal surgery hours, please telephone the surgery and you will be given the telephone number for NHS24 and a Out of Hours doctor or nurse will deal with your problem.

Alternatively you may telephone NHS 24 on directly on 111.

NHS 24 is not a walk-in service and you need to telephone them if you require their services. You can access the NHS website on www.nhs24.com

NHS Lothian are responsible for commissioning NHS 24.

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath are among the items which constitute an emergency.
