Opening Times

Please note that a limited number of additional late evening appointments (18:00 - 19:00) are available each week for patients who would otherwise have difficulty in attending. These are released one week in advance.  Please enquire at reception if you would like to book one. The practice is not fully staffed at these times and some procedures may not be possible.

When We Are Closed

If you require medical care outwith the normal surgery hours please telephone the surgery when you will be given the telephone number for NHS 24 and a doctor or nurse there will deal with your problem. 

Alternatively you may telephone NHS 24 on directly on 111.

NHS 24 is not a walk-in service and you need to telephone them if you require their services. You can access the NHS website on www.nhs24.com

NHS Lothian are responsible for commissioning NHS 24.

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.  

Wednesday lunchtime training closure

We will be closed for staff training each Monday and Wednesday lunchtime from 1.00pm - 2.00pm.

During this time we will only be able to deal with emergencies. 

Training Afternoons

The practice is closed for staff training on one afternoon each month, usually a Wednesday.  Emergency medical cover at such times is provided by the NHS24 service (111).
